Stephen Newman

Stephen has a broad range of experience, encompassing all aspects of leadership and management, from strategy development to policy development and procedural implementation.

Stephen started his working career in the mining industry where he spent time as a shift supervisor and trainer. Since 1994 he has worked as Human Resources Manager, Operations Manager, Finance Manager, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.  Stephen has been Chief Executive Officer of two Registered Training Organisations and has been delivering training in various roles for over 25 years.

Stephen has designed, developed and delivered training packages for a diverse range of skills including heavy equipment operation, administration and general process procedures, short courses and nationally recognised qualifications.

Over the last two years, Stephen has been utilising this experience to develop e-learning material. He is an experienced instructional designer and combined with his broad business expertise, he helps clients design tailored packages to meet their specific outcomes.

Michael Murray

Michael has over 25 years experience in general management and CEO roles across a wide range of industry sectors.

He has a strong background in strategy development and execution, the development of leadership competencies and the design and review of business systems.

Michael believes in positive outcomes delivered through a values-driven approach to developing strong, highly engaged teams supported by effective, customer focused system.  He is now providing practical, effective and cost effective services to organisations striving to improve performance and build capacity.

He has been telling stories with media since the days of Super 8 film and nights spent editing on the kitchen table.  Michael’s in-depth business knowledge combined with his training and media skills enable him to work with clients to design learning programs that are highly relevant for the learners and engaging in their style.

Trevor Powell

After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Diploma in Education and a Master’s Degree in Psychology Trevor worked for over 18 years in a range of senior Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management roles for the top 50 Australian company, Howard Smith Ltd.

In 1998 Trevor was promoted to the senior executive position – Corporate Employee Relations Manager for Howard Smith subsidiary, A Goninan & Co Limited. In his roles he led a teams of up to 22 specialist staff in providing operational and strategic HR Management services to 16 business units distributed around Australia and South East Asia.

In 1999, Trevor left his corporate role and established his own Human Resource Management consulting business, Genesis HR Pty Ltd. During the last 15 years of professional practice Trevor has provided advice, training and consulting services to organisations spanning industry sectors that have included:

Trevor holds national Australian registration as a Psychologist. He also holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and a Certificate in Executive Coaching. He has provided Leadership Coaching and training to leaders from frontline to executive chairman level.

As well as his academic qualifications, Trevor brings over 25 years of Employee Relations and Strategic Human Resource Management experience to his consulting practice as well as a keen interest in instructional design and the delivery of training to a wide range of audiences.

Sara is an education and compliance specialist who has extensive experience in both business management and vocational training. She has a tertiary degree in education and has experience teaching in both the secondary schools and vocational education environments. In her previous and current roles she has become a leader in compliance and quality assurance for Registered Training Organisations, the development of learning and assessment resources for a variety of industry environments, and the delivery of online and face-to-face training and assessment.

Sara’s previous experience in frontline administrative and finance management positions, middle management operational positions, and executive management roles as a leader in quality assurance, provides her with the ability to identify with managers at all levels. In particular, Sara has extensive experience in:

  • Leading and motivating teams
  • Business systems and process mapping to ensure operational efficiency
  • Quality auditing
  • Change management
  • Continuous improvement and
  • Fostering an innovative work environment

The development of online and classroom-based learning and assessment strategies and materials is a specialty of Sara’s and she is passionate about creating solutions for business that meet their organisational goals and the learning needs and aspirations of their employees. She has developed materials for a variety of industry ranging from the business services environment to the mining industry. Using Articulate Storyline and a variety of other e-learning super tools, Sara can assist you to create an interactive learning environment that can be accessed anywhere, anytime.

Margaret Murray

Margaret has over 20 years management experience in a wide variety of fields including administration, health, marketing and training, working with both government departments and private organisations. She has spent the last 15 years in leadership roles in Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

Margaret has been responsible for leading teams to ensure the effective and profitable operation of RTOs through the delivery of quality training. She is adept in managing audit requirements for registration as an RTO, and developing policies and procedures to meet and exceed expectations.  She has successfully driven change within organisations and worked with teams to address skill gaps by analysing requirements, creating training plans, mentoring and coaching and running development workshops.

Margaret now specialises in the production of elearning material, coordination and delivery of quality training as well as the establishment of compliance procedures required for a successful training organisation. Margaret’s qualifications include:

Claire Desmond

Claire started her working career as a drafstperson performing services mostly within the mining industry. Claire has a Diploma in Spatial Information Services (Survey Drafting). Claire’ expertise in this area includes designing the  visual aesthetics  for clients projects including environmental impact statements and mining operation plans.

Over the last eighteen months, Claire has been broadening her experience and has obtained new skills in the development and design of e-learning material.  She has obtained the credential of Certified Articulate Storyline Expert.

Claire started in the e-learning world by implementing the provided instructional design for courses, and has since progressed to providing design for various components of the e-learning courses being developed.

Claire’s expertise includes:

  • Graphic design – including the ability to exercise good judgment in producing the formal elements of visual communication such as contrast, scale, color, pacing, and typography.
  • Technical expertise in the use of Articulate Storyline 2, and various graphics editing programs.
  • Design – including developing interactions for games, case studies and general user interfaces.
